BRINE, known for fresh oysters, crudo, and prime cut chops, is Caswell Restaurant Group’s second foray into the eclectic and innately New England dining scene of Newburyport, MA. Proprietor Nancy Batista-Caswell’s appreciation of the local harvest and her affinity for European classics results in a restaurant devoted to flavorful seafood—ceviche, crudo, sashimi, and beyond—and butcher chops, with a healthy dose of Spanish and Italian influences throughout the menu. The main attractions at BRINE are backed up by soups, salads, Po-Boys, and “off the page” daily specials to provide plenty of variety.This neighborhood hangout welcomes all and leaves pretension at the door. The low-key design and elevated standards of service allow the food to speak for itself, and Manager Gissele Tache and her staff are always on hand to recommend an adventurous catch, a fine bottle of wine, or a sweet after-dinner treat.

Un grande complimento a Giuseppe, il cameriere di salerno, che é stato molto professionale e attento a tutte le nostre esigenze. La pizza è ottima ve lo dice un Casertano! (Masanielli, Pepe in grani , Cambiamenti…) .

    Food was amazing ! Service was great! We had reservations and got seated immediately upon arrival. Drinks were good. Ordered oysters - only complaint was no crackers . Oysters were great! Had a dozen mixed of the oysters of the day. We had shrimp risotto , fish and chips, the seafood stew with linguine was on point . Highly recommend!

    My friends and I had an excellent experience. The oysters, the lobster rolls, the fish tacos, salmon, and desserts were all outstanding. The drinks were incredible, and the service from Erin was exceptional. Row 34 will definitely be a stop as we pass through Portsmouth…

    We really enjoyed our evening at Brine. Excellent service from our Server Anna as well as the rest of the staff. Best oyster and wine selection!! We will be back for sure!

    We stopped in Newburyport on our way up to Maine and I had read good reviews of Sea Level. It did not disappoint! The restaurant's ambiance is very nice but not fussy at all. Our waitress (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name) was delightful! She was knowledgeable and very accommodating in answering our questions. She was attentive but not overbearing. My husband had the Salted Caramel Chicken Sandwich and I had a salad with chicken, and both were excellent. We would definitely go back to Sea Level if we're ever in Newburyport again. I highly recommend it.
