Bruce Poole and Nigel Platts-Martin opened Chez Bruce in 1995. From the outset, it was their intention to serve the very best food and drink but within a relaxed, informal yet thoroughly professionally orchestrated environment. At Chez Bruce we are not particularly into gadgets and tricks in the kitchen. Home-made charcuterie, slow cooked braises, offal, warm and cold salads, classical desserts and bread-making could be listed as specialities. We also take the cheese board very seriously indeed and it forms an integral part of the restaurant's day-to-day life. The Directors of the restaurant are fanatical wine-lovers and are very proud of the restaurant's wine list which truly is one of the very best in the UK.

Ristorante con vista sul Tamigi e difronte toner bridge, a cena il 31 dicembre 2024 cena di San Silvestro, il poco che si è mangiato ottimo e tutto perfetto, personale gentile sempre pronto e preparato. Credo che i prezzi del menù alla carta avendo dato una sbirciatina forse sono un po altini ma, l'ho consiglio per la location e la vista oltre che per la cucina ottima!

Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!     Very good roast dinner. But the most impressive part of the meal was the wonderful service. Short staffed but you wouldn’t have known it. The lady serving us was so no polite, helpful and despite being on her own kept smiling and making sure the the packed out tabless were well looked after. Food was coming out without delay. Big up the chef as well who was cooking in both senses coz the food was great and was was busy clearing tables and looking after customers. Will defo be back. Fully recommend

    We had a really nice brunch at Utter Waffle in Herne Hill yesterday. My daughter is coeliac and so it is always a treat to find somewhere that she can eat where there is no doubt about ingredients and we can all find something delicious on the menu. Highly recommended, with lovely food, friendly staff and a convenient location.
