⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Without a doubt, one of the best nights of my life! Gables Restaurant absolutely exceeded every expectation, and a huge part of that was down to Theo, the owner. What an absolute legend! His hospitality was second to none. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He sorted us out with a fantastic table, made everything happen effortlessly and genuinely made us feel like VIPs. The atmosphere was incredible, the service was outstanding, and the whole experience was something I'll never forget. It's rare to come across an owner who takes such genuine pride in making sure his guests have an unforgettable evening. Had a lovely afternoon spent with a friend. Arrived at 4:30 and it was quite empty but there was some lovely background music which made it feel warm and inviting. We left just after 9pm after a couple of bottles of wine, some lovely food (we chose a mixture of small plates rather than a large meal each). The restaurant was full and there was a lovely atmosphere. The food was incredible, the staff were attentive and friendly and the ambience was lovely. A great addition to Hertford.

Meals were very good best lamb cutlets I have had in a long time. Staff friendly and attentive but not obtrusive.
