Wonderful setting, easy to get to with fabulous views. Service was polished and friendly. Food was delicious; portions size was perfect and cocktails were potent and unique. We had a fantastic meal and can't wait to return. Thank you for a perfect evening.
Food was outstanding and service was brilliant definitely going back.
Great dinner. The restaurant was not too busy so it was great that we could chat to the staff a bit
Lovely post Christmas dinner at Coq d'Argent. We used the offer and the food was delicious and better value than usual there! Fantastic service and the sommelier suggested a brilliant Nuits St Georges that was a perfect pairing! Thanks...
Went for a client breakfast meeting. Good all round, Food, ambience, service and price
Excellent location for lunch, food and service was wonderful
Fantastic meal in a lovely setting. Food cooked to perfection.
A regular customer
Very attentive service in a lovely setting
Beautiful Christmas menu, highly recommend this restaurant. With fabulous wine choice and excellent service. The only issue we had was a half hour wait for our table which was uncomfortable at the bustling bar area being bumped around by busy staff and guests. The manager did give us complimentary glasses of bubbles when I mentioned about our wait, I felt this was a good gesture on their part. Thanks to the entire team for a lovely festive meal, we had an excellent wine selection too, was not rushed from our table either.
Have been several times before , but it wasn’t as good as previous visits, being Christmas they were extremely busy, so they lacked the usual attentive service & they also sat us by the door , which wasn’t the nicest of areas on a cold winters evening.
Despite have a booking for 1 pm, made us wait 25 minutes for a business lunch. Service was very poor as they had obviously significantly overbooked and staff was stretched. The place was like a zoo filled 200% capacity and make shift tables and chairs as they was no place to move around to get to ones table. Had to ask for the wine list, did not give us the still water we ordered and not to mention hugely overpriced for the service, ambience and quality. It’s a popular place but the restaurant has to apply common sense to the number of bookings they can take, else it will end up with disgruntled clients like me.
Absolutely terrible lunch time service. We waited over an hour for our food selection to be taken and then they asked for the table back an hour later. There were six of us and we spent over £600. At the very least they should have taken the service charge off. We were then shown into one of the Chalets/Sheds outside you complete our meal. We decided against desserts and wait straight to coffees and had to wait 30 minutes for the coffees. Very surly waiting staff.
Quality and value of the Food was excellent particularly with the 3 course for £34.50.
I am not sure that the cover charge of £2 per head is a necessary billable item.
The establishment is going for classy and adding £2 charge per head on the bill for , supposedly, linen cleaning and petit fours contradicts your efforts.
Simply absorb this cost or increase the price of the set menu.
Unless there is some tax purpose but still it’s unorthodox and sets a bad impression.
Service was quite slow and we had the set menu but we were asked to order our desert at the start which is annoying.
Fabulous evening, great service and delicious food
Another really good meal with first class professional service - thanks will be back again soon!
Lovely lunch and great food & service
Absolutely lovely restaurant. Made to feel like VIP's with very attentive and lovely waiter. Whole restaurant was spotless and had a nice ambiance. The food was delicious and great value for the high quality. Would highly recommend and will visit again
I went to Coq d’Argent with a colleague for breakfast and we had a lovely time! The food was absolutely amazing, very colourful and tasty. I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs which was fantastic, they use Clarence eggs which were full of flavour and perfectly cooked. My colleague took the egg Benedict with ham and mozzarella which looked beautiful. The service was professional and full of smiles :-)
A great venue to start your day, highly recommend it!
Excellent business breakfast location, great atmosphere and all the staff were very attentive. The breakfast menu provides a lot of variety, the full English was delicious. Overall I would highly recommend Coq d’Argent for breakfast!
Lovely meal. Our waitress Roberta, made the meal special with her warmth and friendliness as well as being super knowledgeable about the menu and professional throughout
My husband and I went for lunch at Coq d’Argent to celebrate our Anniversary, and we had such an amazing afternoon. The food was delicious and the service staff were so attentive and friendly. It really made our day! Thank you.
Excellent service and beautiful food every time.
Great selection and service in a lovely setting. Another delicious meal
An earlier visit wasnt as enjoyable, this time the staff and service was exceptional, it's one of my favourite hang outs as I am based in the city.
The lamb shank is to die for and a must order from the menu.
Looking forward to visiting again
I have previously dined here and enjoyed the food and ambience.
Whilst we did have a nice meal we did have to wait a while to get someones attention to move dinner along.
Still good value for money in the city.
Excellent service and food but let down by the wine, they didn't have the one we picked!! The wine is a little too expensive compared with other high class restaurants in London
Always good!
Marred by screaming children at 9pm
Service was a bit haphazard, but mostly fine and the food was good. The wine list is lengthy but understandably (given location) geared to those dining out on expenses.
Excellent business lunch, I did however think a cover charge per head plus 12.5% service was a little much for a lunch.
Otherwise Very good, food was excellent.
Excellent evening dinner with fantastic quality food and a great bottle of Pomerol
As excellent as ever. We did the set menu and the food was superb
I had a very good business lunch here during the week.
The two course menu we selected was great. I had the butternut ravioli and my colleague had the smoked salmon followed by the lamb shank for main course. Both were very tasty.
The only issue i had was they seemed to be very busy so the service was actually quite slow. We only had a select amount of time for lunch and i actually had to get up and request the bill from a waiter twice before it came.
I imagine they were just understaffed at that point.
All other interactions with the staff were very good, as was the food.
One of my favourite restaurants in the City !
Great food and value for money in a beautiful setting !
Great place, service and food excellent even from the fixed price menu. Only 1 gripe is that they don’t do prosecco and bottle of house champagne is £70. So it is lovely but pricey
Felt rushed. Food arrived before we had ordered wine , bill given before asked .
A gem in the City - good atmosphere - good value set lunch - attentive service.
Lovely relaxing place , enjoyable food and great location .
It was lovely, atmosphere, staff and food were all great. Thank you for a great experience.
