   Nice location and ambience, good staff. Food was underwhelming for the price. The ribeye special was tough and lots of fat. The crabcakes were heavily breaded. Unfortunately just not up to our expectations. Based on previous comments.

   Attractive, great service, decent food but not great. Tacos good, prime rib tough, filets undercooked and not great quality. No music playing, just noise of dishes and silverware and fellow diners. Had hoped for better food based on reviews. Maybe just stay away from beef!?

   We had a wonderful experience at Commerce. Kay, our server was so pleasant and professional. The rest of the staff was also very pleasant. We enjoyed the prix fixe Sunday Supper and would highly recommend. The food was delicious and nicely presented. We look forward to making it a regular place to visit on our list of favorites.

   This was our first time at this restaurant. Next time we’ll definitely ask for a booth vs sitting at a small table out in the middle of the floor. Our server “Jeremy” was extremely nice and knew everything about the food and its preparation. Our filet minion steaks were cooked just right. We will go back again and will recommend the restaurant to our friends.

    We had a party of 7 for brunch, with a reservation. We were seated right away, with no wait. Server was slow to come around but they were busy. He seemed really distracted/disconnected. We ordered drinks, he came back for the food order with no drinks and totally disappeared. We waited and waited, and eventually got food before our drinks - he had never come back around for us to ask about them. Once we got food, had to wait another 5 min or so on drinks, as well as condiments/salt pepper. The food was hit and miss. Two in our party got the burger and said it was great. Three got the Twickenham breakfast. The eggs were awful, not cooked to order at all. There were hard scrambled (overcooked), barely warm and cut into a square like a casserole (obviously pre-cooked and sitting in a pan ready to serve - I’ve had waaayyy better in a mid range hotel continental breakfast). Not at all what you’d expect with a $16 breakfast plate. We had to wait on drink refills - the 2 of us that had alcohol (a mimosa and a Bellini) were never asked if we wanted another at all. He brought the checks and never even asked if everything was ok. We have been here for dinner several times and always left happy - so we thought we’d try brunch. Between the service and the food, it wasn’t a good experience. I think we will stick to dinner.

    Food was average for the higher price. Not hot when brought to the table. Service was ok but slow and appeared not organized. Little items like not having salt/pepper etc on the tables and a long time to get the items.

    From fresh seafood to hearty meats, this restaurant has a wonderful menu. Great appetizers, small plates, salads and desserts. A go to lunch spot at least once a week.

    Commerce kitchen is one of our favorite places in downtown Huntsville, and will continue to be – maybe. As always, the food was excellent. The service was on point. However, we ordered a drink from the cocktail menu, and instead of telling us they didn’t have certain ingredients they made the drink with substitute ingredients and didn’t say anything. When I asked if a key (and expensive) liquor ingredient had been added, they came back and said that they didn’t have it and just made the drink without it. Cocktails have different flavor profiles, depending on what is and is not added and you can’t simply not add a key ingredient and continue to sell for $13 a glass. Unfortunately I view this as disingenuous and not being honest with the customers. The manager came over (after I requested) and said they haven’t had that ingredient for sometime and they’re printing new menus. I advised him he should not sell the drink anymore as this is deceitful. This will not prevent us from going back. But next time we go, we likely will not order cocktails again which is unfortunate as we used to enjoy the cocktails they serve up.

    This was my first time eating at this location. The brunch menu looked delicious, so my girlfriend and I made reservations for this past Saturday. Our brunch was “ok,” but not what we expected. The staff and host were extraordinarily polite and welcomed us. We were there when the doors opened at 10:30a, so we both ordered bloody marys but were told after our first drink they were out of the mix. The experience was ok.. the food was ok, but it was expensive.

    We did have a reservation, but as soon as we walked in we were immediately sat at our table. Jeremy was our sever and he was top tier. We will be asking for him next visit as well! The food was amazing and fresh! We loved our experience and will be back!

    I had the pork chop and my food was excellent! Although mine was great, my boyfriends steak wasn’t good at all. He left hungry due to not wanting to cause a fuss about it. If you want to have your space, this isn’t the place for you. Can barely walk between the tables they were so close. That’s just a part of eating in a historic downtown location though! We weren’t very bothered by it and still had a pleasant dining experience.

    Overall, everything was good... except for the grilled salmon that I had added to my salad was almost nonexistent, almost embarrassing... it was about the size and thickness of a small pancake! I asked the waiter about it and he said that's standard for a salad addition. I'd rather pay more and get a normal portion, than what was served. Also, the waiter had a very bad body odor smell that almost made me sick to my stomach...

    Have been to Commerce Kitchen before but this was the first time experiencing Sunday Supper. Great food and a great value! Our server, Jeremy was extraordinary. Very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be doing Sunday Supper again.

    The menue is diverse with several options to chose from. My husband and I have been twice and each ordered a different entre so I’ve tasted 4 dishes and all were fabulous. Chef has add on specials as well. The cocktail menu had great options and the 2 I’ve had were extra yummy and just what I was looking for. Deserts are delicious as well. Service was perfect, our server was charming and friendly and just the right amount of attention without interrupting us throughout the meal (I hate servers who won’t leave you alone). One of my favorite places to eat in Huntsville.

    We were there for Sunday Supper and it was great. Loved the ambience, Jeremy, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the house cocktails and wine and very responsive, the food was bountiful and flavorful. They had things my husband with food allergies could eat. I personally would never put sauce on fried chicken because it softens the crust you’ve worked to create but it was a flavorful, unique sauce. Overall it was so good I’d made Saturday this coming weekend reservations before we left.

    Date night with the husband before a concert at VBCC. We sat on a two person table in the middle. Waiter and people behind us bumped into us at some point. Those seats are tight. Rest was amazing!

    Great, quaint, and local restaurant with a quiet atmosphere and a changing menu. It can be hit or miss with the quality of beef, and the wine menu is a little thin, but that can be said of most small places.
