Start to finish we had a great night at Buca - Yorkville. Food and service was exceptional as usual!
My favourite restaurant in Toronto.😊
Excellent wines, oysters and salad. My main purse duck breast was lacking savoury elements, especially when paired with cipolino and beet and honey. More savoury please, for balance. Otherwise, excellent, as usual.
Amazing food always! I just wish it wasn't so noisy..... everything else was excellent!
Food very good wine list excellent service very good but it is expensive and very noisy
My friend recommended this restaurant (actually, king location)
Our server seems like couldn’t see us I should say other staff including manager also nobody pay attention except our table.
If restaurant was extremely busy, its totally understandable but it wasn’t.
Black truffle bread was good, pasta were salty.
After checked Sever didn’t ask us about Jacket.
Anyways ,it was just disappointed.
We won’t go there never ever again.
Delicious food and wine and amazing service!
Bartender accidentally spilled bitters on my guest.
Absolutely superlative service, and the food was very good. The wine was expensive but perfectly matched.
Bad lighting, asked for a different table that was more private as there were many available when we arrived early. It took a long time before we were moved. Our waiter was friendly, but didn’t know about the wines. Described a white wine when I was asking about a red. He did send a more knowledgable server over to discuss wine which was smart and helpful. The food was so so ( pizza and pasta) though the salad with beets was fine. Wine over priced, though good.
Best tasting menu in Canada. Ambiance is pretty stark and corporate, but the food more than makes up for the interiors.
My wife and I went for her birthday.
Waiter was very helpful with explaining the menu items and offered suggestions based upon our preferences. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the food and loved the place. Great food and great ambience.
A delicious and creative culinary adventure, with some of the most beautiful, artistic plating I've seen in a long time, and in a modern yet natural-feeling environment. Great experience, thank you.
To notch service. The food is outstanding but simple. I would go back in any day for just the relaxing environment.
Food was very good, however, overrated. The menu items are simple, as they call themselves an Osteria and I did not see the price reflected on my plate. The restaurant atmosphere and service is excellent, but ultimately the food leaves you underwhelmed. I recommend Bar Buca.
Great food totally recommend it
Food and service were very adequate. Only food note, octopus had quality issues, execution was great, but product did not match dish.
Service was friendly and informative. No personal touch.
Good food but way overpriced for what you get. Great staff
Yummiest brunch in the city!
Went for a business lunch-took 1 15 mins to make a gluten free pasta and pizza. Pasta was crunchy and undercooked, not worth the $40 pricetag. Servers were not helpful and seemed to keep themselves busy just for the sake of being busy. Unbelievably slow for a 1/3 full restaraunt on Monday at noon. Will not return and will not recommend.
Amazing recommendations by our waiter!!!!! We had a wonderful time and awesome food.
My fourth time here...if you love seafood, this is a must.
The main reason why I always go back to Buca is for their Buratta Pizza. As simple as it is, it always has a place in my heart with the aromatic olive oil, some salt, and crispy crust.
The service was excellent, which is what I would expect for the high pricing. The food was delicious and rich and full of complex flavours. The pricws were high, and a lunch for four with a shared pizza appetizer, three entrees and a salad came to about $150 before tip was added.
Asked to move tables in an empty restaurant. Manager would only allow if we would be done in less than hour. We were in the middle and asked for the banquet. The restaurant was empty.
Food was great and our waiter was great but shouldn’t have stayed given the start with the managers comment.
The service was great. As for the food, we enjoyed the pasta and pizza. The pizza was amazing. But appetizers were too salty for us. Dessert was good and looked pretty, but a little too sweet.
My wife and I made a reservation at Buca Yorkville for lunch. The food overall was great / excellent (the highlight was the burrata pizza for us), but we thought that the dessert was very underwhelming (we had 2 of them - griselle (sp) and the tiramisu). This was the only reason why we can't give this place a 5/5. Service was excellent and the servers were highly attentive. We would still recommend friends and family to check out this place, but to skip out on the dessert.
We ordered four the duck pasta, a pizza and a few small bites. The duck was amazing but everything else was average. The service was incredible and we would certainly try this again.
Amazing food and service! A bit too noisy though.
This is my favourite restaurant in Toronto! I try something new every time (with exception of the raw sea bass that I get at each visit - because it's SO good! Make sure you take the "sauce" and scope to eat with each bite *yum*). Ok, I'm a little bit of a foodie. This meal included a pizza for the first time and I went with the fresh burratta. It was really good as well as the octopus that was amazing with the side of chicory. If you haven't tried chicory before and you like green veggies like rapini, it's a must. I've never found in local stores here (and I've searched) but it has this beautiful flavour. For dessert we had (can't remember the name but it was layered with a sauce that gets poured over). It's usually really amazing but this time I feel it was prep'd and it was a little on the cool side when served (so not as fresh as I've had in the past). I would still recommend trying it if you have a sweet tooth. All in all, this restaurant is a must if you live here or visiting Toronto. I will add that, yes, it will put a slight dent in your wallet but I still highly recommend. If you're on a budget and want to try, I would recommend sharing the bass and a pizza. If you want a wine and stay away from their vintage selections, you can still enjoy your meal, have a great experience and not spend too much.
Surprisingly sub standard , not worth the money . I am not sure if the chef had been changed during the holiday time the food quality is nothing to compare to my first time experience . It is definitely overpriced.
Everything was wonderful; however, the noise level is high and it was difficult to hear each other. Food and service was excellent but I would probably not go again given the loud ambience.
Best restaurant I’ve been for a while. Definitely going back :)
Excellent service with. Food was good though not transcendental as described. Best was the handmade cocktail. VERY noisy. Somewhat sterile environment and hard to find.
Always an amazing experience here. No complaints.
The food looks nice the flavor regular
As always...knowledgeable, articulate service...well-crafted, delicious food fabulously presented. Buca is a wish list item for those who appreciate fine food.
Was very disappointed- poor food and the experience made worse with overpriced items. Duck pasta ragu was initially too al dente. Faglioli was bland and beans were too hard and chicory side was way too acidic. Disappointing and a waste of an evening spent at an overhyped restaurant
It is a mediocre or below average experience dining in Buca. For a premium restaurant, it is expected to have less or no disappointments. Buca isn’t one that falls in that space, not going to recomment any one.
Service was rushed. Atmosphere was morose; however, food was good.
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the city! Incredible hospitality from the moment you arrive, extremely knowledgeable staff and the most delicious food! Can’t wait to come back!
