   We ordered the chef's halibut special with clam chowder soup. The fish tasted very bland and the sweet sauce and sweet tomato/bacon jam didn't match with a fish entree. Definitely was not worth the $50/entree price. In our opinion the food quality has diminished over the last few years.

   We had the clams. Very disappointing. Chewy and not good. The Cod special, on the other hand was very good. Overpriced, but good. Fifty bucks per special.

   We went to Bristol to celebrate my birthday. The meal was wonderful and they gave me a free dessert which was very nice. Our only negative was that the service was a little slow and minor things like the appetizer coming out before we had any plates to put it on. Just seemed like he needed a little more training.

   Came at the right time on the right day, got the right table and servers. Oysters well-chosen, perfectly fresh and properly served. Green salad well-balanced, swordfish fresh and cooked just right. Gumbo was unusual, no dark roux, yet flavorful. All went very well with a half-price Taittinger Carneros Brut sparkling wine. Likely the best choice we could have made for late Sunday brunch in the KC metro.

    The food was very good. I had the fish n chips special & it's only negative was that it was a bit too breaded. Our server was not very good. She rarely checked in on us, didn't offer recommendations or specials, unless asked. We had to search for her when we wanted our bill. Disappointed.

    Good selection of fresh seafood, always prepared and cooked just right. The tuna was charred on the outside and properly rare on the inside. Service is always attentive and professional.

    Chose the Bristol for our 53rd anniversary dinner. Fortunate that it was also a special offer night (20% off food). The personnel greeted us immediately with Happy Anniversary wishes and gave us a totally unexpected card for a champagne toast or dessert to share. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. The noise level was a little high for us older folk (lots of happy people conversing) but we set next to each other and were fine. Totally enjoyable experience.

    Very slow service for a mostly empty restaurant. Food quality was not good. $40 for a very small, thin piece of Halibut that was so overcooked it was barely edible. This place used to be a favorite ,with a great brunch buffet. Sadly, it's now off my list and I won't be recommending to others either.

    Five of us met for a weekday birthday lunch. 3 people enjoyed the lunch combo of lemongrass shrimp tacos to outstanding reviews. We enjoyed the small private room and very accommodating service. Birthday desert of carrot cake enjoyed by all.
