   We had the best experience here! From the time we were greeted by a friendly man at the front I knew this was going to be a wonderful experience. He was upfront about the kitchen closing soon and the bar wait timing. What I really loved about my experience is how down to earth our greeter was, he was very personable with everyone that stopped in and honestly I wish I could tip him too! Our server was knowledgable about the menu, offered recommendations for drinks and not once did we feel rushed even though this was a late reservation. The food was excellent and I already have reservations for my next visit.

   I ordered the filet mignon. It was good, but not as good as I would expect from a restaurant of this level. The risoto that it came on was bland. It seemed they just put a pile of risoto and spinach on my plate and placed about a tablespoon of sauce right in the center of the pile. I was almost done with my dinner before I realized the sauce was all in the center and apparently I was supposed to stir it all up? I don't know. A ridiculous way to serve a meal. The drinks where good however. Higher end liquor seemed to be used. My husband and a friend ordered the burgers which they both said were good, and my other friend enjoyed her salmon, but again, felt it was a little bland and thought it could use some sort of sauce. The waiter was very attentive and polite and the ambiance was nice. Just expected more out of the meal for what we paid.

    Ups and downs would be the best way to describe this visit. Unfortunately, I would have to say there was more disappointment than excitement over the meal. This was our first visit to the Blue hound and I was so excited that I got a reservation the night of the music of John Williams concert with Phoenix symphony at Symphony Hall. I've been wanting to try it for a while now due to the numerous options for those who are gluten free. We started with the Pao de Queijo with an espellette butter that was to die for; however, unfortunately, much of the flavor was left with that. We ordered the cured meat and cheese board which was very self explanatory. We also got the charcoal papas bravas which was supposed to be cooked with Spanish Chorizo, but these potatoes had virtually no flavor. We had to salt and pepper them heavily and the flavor still was lacking in excitement. "Papas bravas" turned out to be a "papas boo". Our family member who got the burger said it was cooked perfectly and enjoyed the side salad. The drinks and food were on the slow side, and due to this we showed restraint in ordering the cheesecake in fear of being late for our event. Kristen our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Is this enough to bring us back to the Blue Hound on the night of another downtown event??? Probably unlikely.

    Atmosphere and location is good. Especially before an event if you don’t just want bar food. However, the value was not good with a forced Valentines Menu.

    Our server did his best. The food was mediocre. The filet I ordered was bone dry. Sent it back, was nearly raw. I ate the small pieces that were medium rare. No one came to address the issue.

    Expensive steak $88 and no sides not even fry's $9 beers. My wife loved her food though she got the sea bass and it looked amazing with all the garnish.

    A friend and I enjoyed a great meal and suuuuuper good cocktails yesterday. If your there for brunch definitely get the seasonal Bellini. Delicious. Everything was clean, new, and nice. The stylish decor was great and the serious was spot on. We will definitely come back.

    I have been here at least a dozen times over the years at it never disappoints. The Old Fashioned was perfectly prepared. The ambiance is perfect for my work group after a long day of meetings. Service is reliable. The restaurant has a “trendy” feel. I’ve tested most of their menu which is all good. This night I had a flavorful if slightly under seasoned soup and a delicious take on the wedge salad (hint: it doesn’t involve iceberg lettuce). Actually heading there tomorrow before the Suns game. Highly recommend!

    The food was amazing!! I had the Chef’s cut witch was a 20 oz ribeye and my girlfriend had the Net of the Sea and it was tremendous!! Our server Nick was awesome as well! Can’t wait to go again!!

    We had a great time for a birthday brunch. Our server was amazing and I think we were probably the loudest party! We apologize! Great time, great drinks! We went early so we nearly had the place to ourselves, which we enjoyed.

    Maybe they were understaffed but our wait person was unprofesssional and seemed untrained in even the basics. Noisy. Because tables were being set up around our party as we dined, with metal chairs being scraped across wooden floors - a terrific noise. Then when the other diners arrived it stated again the food was meh.

    Meh… for the service… over priced. We didn’t have forks/knives or plates when the food came… had to remind them that I had ordered a drink. Just subpar service. If you are going for drinks that’s probably fine, getting a table, not so much.

    I expected more from this restaurant. The preparation of our appetizers (other than the Brussel Sprouts) were quite bland. This included the hand cut truffle fries, the broccolini and the Kale Caesar salad. I've had much better in other less pricey restaurants. The atmosphere was very festive in the front seating area. The back seating area truthfully was neglected in ambiance. Very strange.

    Terrible. Waited an hour and never got served. Gave up to see our show. Waiter kept us informed but food never came. Don’t plan an event within 3 hours after. And we were staying at the hotel. Never again. Going to bed hungry tonight. I’m done with the hotel Kimpton.

    I was disappointed in our Thanksgiving dinner experience. The staff was friendly and the food was good. However, the soup I ordered was barely lukewarm. The duck was undercooked. The dessert was OK but I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known that the chocolate creme brulee also had a cranberry compote on top. For $105 per person, I felt it was not worth that price. I would go back again to eat there but would order off the menu and not on a holiday.

    We went on for thanksgiving while in town visiting the Grand Canyon. Never got asked about drinks besides water. Got seated right next to the outside door so every time anybody opened it we got a gust of leaves. I know it was a specialty menu but if someone asks if they can alter it and they are told no it’s a bit of a turn off. My son is kind of picky, he did his best but cranberries all over the meal and desert was a little too much.
