I have been to Benihana a few times my last visit the service wasn’t so great but we decided to try again. Our reservations were at 715but didn’t get seated until almost 8. We understand it was a busy night so no complaints. I ordered sushi for appetizer it didn’t arrive until after our meal was completed. Service was horrible. The food was good but not worth the price. The server handed us the bill and seemed annoyed when we asked for the ice cream that came with our meal. Overall not worth it.
Prices have gone up quite a bit since our last visit. This will affect future visits to the restaurant.
Very nice experience. Hostess, and all waitresses most attentive. We requested an exclusive table and it was provided. Food and drinks were very good.

The server had the worst attitude I've ever encountered in a restaurant. Not considerate of allergies and gave me attitude through the whole service. I will probably never go back to this location. I would suggest not going to this farce of a Benihana. As a born and brought up Californian, growing up Benihana's is always fun, but this location is a joke. Zero stars if possible.

Great food and hostesses are accommodating. It was the first time having a female chef. Our chef Sandra was entertaining and exciting.

I expected a lot more than what I got at this restaurant. Our waitress only came over when we flagged her down. Our cook was very dry and not enthusiastic at all. Overall the food was amazing just poor customer service.

Way over priced food. Sushi and bar was worth it, but hibachi was very plain and portions were small for the price

The food was very tasty and they have generous proportions. The service was good. I would recommend it to friends and family, and will most likely visit again.

The service and food here has gone down Over the years!! I went a few months ago and had issues but last night was beyond terrible!
Our service wasn’t bad but the chef, manager and food….nope! No good!
The chef, we thought was new but we were told by the manager, she’s been there two years!
She didn’t give our table the Benihana’s experience! She barely spoke during the dinner. She took forever cooking our meal. 20-30 mins on the ride, 20 mins on veggies! It took so long between each food item, if you waited, your food was cold!
No tricks. No fire! Nothing. Just a silent table, while we looked at every one near by get the Benihana’s experience and have fun!
The manager was informed but he didn’t seem to care. He was told half way through the meal and didn’t come to check out anything until the very end! Didn’t say or do much about the situation besides walk away!
Overall even the food was blah! Rice was salty. Reorder of rice had way to much oil. Steak was over cooked. Shrimp had no seasoning.
We just won’t be coming to the location again! Benihana’s used to be a favorite but it has really fell off!

Our hibachi chef was very good - she was able to flip and juggle her utensils very well and did a nice job cooking and presenting our food. My shrimp appetizer was a little rubbery which made me think it was probably frozen shrimp. My colossal shrimp was less rubbery and tasty. Scallops could've been bigger and the calamari was fine.

We had one of our best Benihana meals ever at this location. Our chef (I wish I could remember her name!) was was just at the end of her training period, and she was fabulous! Her fried rice was spot on, and the chicken was just the way we like it - a little caramelized on the outside and juicy on the inside. The shrimp was also cooked to perfection. My only regret is that we are from Atlanta, so we won’t be able to enjoy her talents again soon. Our server was very attentive, also.
We highly recommend you give this a try!

This was our first time at Benihana (we've always opted for smaller-named places), and we won't return. We chose it because we thought they had stricter COVID protocols in seating. Benihana does not space out seating, so be prepared to sit with strangers, in chairs that are packed very closely around the table. The food was mediocre at best, and the amount of butter the chef used was appalling. The prices were much more expensive than other hibachi-style restaurants in the area. Overall, we do not recommend this restaurant.

Thursday is definitely not a good day to enjoy dinner at Benihana’s Dulles VA.
After enjoying for years this last dinner experience was not a very good one.

Exceptional service from Manager, Marlena, and staff at Benihana - Dulles. The food is always well presented, delicious, and healthy in all aspects. Family truly enjoys the gathering to share the family bundles offered by Benihana. The pricing is outstanding and affordable. An added perk is the gift cards offer with the additional cards to be used at a later date--best offer ever. Look forward to next outing!
I had an amazing experience staff was great and so was the food
The performance and experience wasn’t as incredible as I thought it would be. The food portions were definitely not worth the amount of money they cost either.
My wife and I haven't been in years. The food is still delicious and the service was good.
Prices have skyrocketed! 2 adult meals, 1 kid meal, 2 adult drink & an apple juice - $168!(including tip).

I like Japanese food but, it is very expensive and only something I would do every few years.
Does management think we don't notice that you no longer serve complimentary green tea in lovely little cups, hot towels, nice Japanese dishware, colorful big menus; their new system of conveying menus by phone with an app, which means instead of people festively chatting, especially the kids, people are re-glued to their phones; the changes in personnel and the lack of motivation of many; front desk planning inattention to reservation times (not for us this time but often) is a problem. Management pinches pennies but keeps the prices going up. Look at the trip advisor reviews, they're scathing.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent, particularly our chef Teresa!
Our reservation was not ready on time. The waitress was miserable and clearly annoyed with everyone. The drinks were gross - did not finish either alcoholic beverage we ordered. They tasted like pineapple juice with vodka - a mai tai and a sangria?! So so awful. The chef never smiled or interacted with us. He dropped his tools twice which is scary if he’s going to accidentally fling them at someone next time (he didn’t, fortunately). It was nearly an hour and a half from our reservation time until the time the chef arrived. The food was mediocre at best. They did not sing happy birthday to the person who’s bday it was. And it was $400 to boot!! Horrible experience.

At least 30 minutes from having finished the first course until the chef came to the table. No back-ground music and a 1/2 full dining room does not make for good ambiance. Food is always good. The presentation is not as good as it used to be. Not much WOW. We shared a table, but I think Benihana is best occupying a table with only your party, if possible.
The service was ridiculously slow. We had a 7:30 reservation and wasn’t seated for almost an hour. Then we had to wait another 45 mins for service. We didn’t get our food until 10:00, which is the time the restaurant closes. There was not enough staff to accommodate guests.
Made a reservation for 6:45, didn't get seated until after 7pm, didnt eat until almost 8:30. They were completely under staffed (only 2 servers for entire restaurant) our waiter was great, just had too many tables. The food was good and our chef did a nice job. Something I would expect on the weekend, but this was a Tuesday night.
I was unable to substitute tuna as the only meat in the Sashimi. This was substantiated via false pretenses that were offensive to propound (i.e., material difference in price, and pre-packaging). These reasons were offensive because the menu depicted unit prices; and the sushi bar was readily visible. My wife was not provided tea or ice cream that was clearly supposed to have been included with the deluxe meal.
The restaurant is horrible and will never reacquire my patronage.
Food was ok, prices way too high for what you get. Other similar places are better quality and way better prices.
